I think you're exactly right regarding Wizards of the Coast's transition to 4th edition; the 2E->3E migration was handled much more gracefully. I think part of this is the lack of Dragon Magazine as a binding force for the gaming community.

Yes, there have been development articles on Wizards.com, and people have been happily dissecting those, but I think they're less coherent and less focused then what we say the last time around. I also think they're doing a less then stellar job of explaining to people how/if their current D&D campaigns will work under 4E.

Merg,

That's what we were talking about there.

Tom,
As it stands now, we are recording two shows on 2/17. One with Ken Hite at Dundracon, another one with Chris Pramas here at EndGame. Sorry for the long drought. Brian is buying a house, and I am remodeling mine, long with running the store. Been a hectic few weeks for us both, but these two shows promise to be really interesting. Look for at lest one of them super soon. :)

Hi, last Sunday I downloaded the show and enjoyed it today. After a few years of a break in RPG's, I recently started playing D&D again with my son, and so came across this podcast. Enjoyed the show, just download some earlier episodes. :-)

RE: Wicked Age. I've been able to read my copy a few times, and I'm very keen to run it. I had a game scheduled for this past Sunday, but unfortunately, a nasty chest cold knocked me out of action.

Regardless, expect to hear more about In a Wicked Age in the next show.

D&D: it not a game, it's an industry! Boy, the more I hear about 4th edition, the more I think how Burning Wheel is a god sent ;-)

Great show again, even if it was long. I have Mechaton and it looks like a cool game, but I really think it needs to be revised because if you are not a war gamer, it is kind of unclear in parts (especially in the scaling and how much dice you need).

I just read Vincent's other game: "In a Wicked Age," and I can not wait to play it. I highly recommend it to people who like co-narrative games. It was the Sword and Sorcery game I had been waiting for.

Thanks again you two!

Howdy Faide. I'm not sure where you started listening to the show, but if you're looking for information about the Dresden Files rpg, we chat a good bit with Fred Hicks, of Evil Hat (the publisher) in Episode 26 a few months ago.

We kid Fred about the upcoming release of the Dresden Files rpg, but with love. ;)

Thanks for listening!

When you guys were talking about In a Wicked Age you mentioned Dreamation and I thought I would let you know it's in New Jersey. I only know that from how excited the guys on Sons of Kryos get when they talk about it.

Also, you have a great podcast. I only found it this week and with your frank discussion of both WotC and Days of Wonder, you now have a new regular listener. Amazing job!!

If you're interested in Lego-based fighting games, there is a Lego robot fighting game called "Mechaton: Giant Fighty Robots".
I've never played it, just heard about it. Some info here:
