Yes, but...

Brian, I have to take issue with your Traveller review. Was there nothing wrong with it?

I mean where was the Traveller background? Where was the explanation of what Traveller is and why it differs from any other SF RPG? When is Mongoose Traveller set?

Perhaps you might want to compare the finished book with the claims on the back cover blurb and see if they are fulfilled.

As to the artwork -- some of it would not have graced the pages of a 1980s fanzine, and as for the rest of it? Great artwork, had it been in colour.

Thanks for that timeline. Very helpful for remembering a fun podcast to record!

For the record, Frederick Jensen's game is called "Montsegur 1244".

And yes, "Perfect" is Joe McDonald's game. During the podcast I couldn't remember for sure. http://www.incitefulentertainment.com/perfect.php

Thanks for the feedback, Carl. Unfortunately, this episode was one where we needed to decide if it was better to post quickly without detailed liner notes, or to wait an extra week and post with the notes. We were in a bit of a time crunch (and I was racing to get out the door and onto a plane back East to be an usher for a close friend's wedding).

Original Traveller had the die roll of 8+ on 2D, not 7+ as was mentioned on the podcast. So the Mongoose die mechanic is back to the original. Of couse the original gave no guidelines whatsoever about DMs. I was able to look at the book briefly a few weeks back, and when I went back the next day, they were *all* gone. So it goes...
