by Brian on November 25, 2010

It’s Thanksgiving, and we’re talking about NeonCon, Brian’s Pathfinder: Kingmaker campaign, Gamma World play and product, and D&D Insider electronic tools.

Just listened to the cast. Thanks for doing the cast, I appreciate it.

I’m glad you have a 4e character builder now. I know that I don’t like playing 4e without one. I don’t like the new one or how they ‘introduced’ it.

There is a long list of things that are wrong with the new CB and it’s design, but the worst in recent days is that many folks billing addresses were erased and this caused them to lose access to the builder and their characters. I think it has something to do with DDI auto renewals failing, but I checked my billing address and it was set to ‘a’ and you might want to check yours before it is an issue. Folks who were tripped up by it look like they are having issues getting their accounts re-upped.

Hey Guys,

Love the show!

I was wondering if Brian had gone back to Dead of Winter invitation this.year. If so, how was it ?

I’m really not a fan of the subscription model for Character builder (or any other software). If I’m going to pay for something I want to OWN it. Of course, I’m not a fan of the collectible nature of some miniatures, either. That doesn’t change the fact that WotC (for example) thinks they can make more money off me that way than by a method I may approve of more. And they are the one that sets the method.

Fortunately, I can go get a third party program like Herolab.

Keep on trucking guys, I’m looking forward to episode 58. :)
